Letter from the Founders
Dear Supporter,
The Kaylen Foundation is a non-profit organization created in memory of our 4 ½ month old daughter who was diagnosed with Aortic and Pulmonary Stenosis. On June 20, 2002, Kaylen underwent open-heart surgery; unfortunately, her heart wasn’t strong enough and she passed away 6 days later. The foundation benefits the children and families in the Pediatric Critical Care Unit at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt by providing toys and clothes for the children and food, gas, Bunny Totes, spa days and accommodations for the families.
Since the start of the Kaylen Foundation in 2002, a gross amount of $169,500 has been raised. With the generous support of people like you, we will continue helping families meet essential daily needs and improve the lives of everyone around them. For more information on how your donation is making a difference in the lives of the children and families, we invite you to visit our website at www.kaylenfoundation.org. Thank you again and we look forward to your continued support.
Sincerely,
Craig and Carisa Burr, Founders
