Paul Dougherty
Paul Dougherty is Chief Technology Officer and Board member of Gresham, Smith and Partners, a 700- person architecture and engineering firm with offices throughout the south. Mr. Dougherty received his B.A. from the University of Alabama and M.P.A. from UAB. He is married and has one daughter who was born at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Amy Black, Board Chair
Amy Black has been an integral part of the Kaylen Foundation since its inception. Her involvement has included fundraising for the prior annual Kaylen Foundation golf tournaments. She has also assisted in the recruitment and organization of volunteers, and participates with the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital activities. Mrs. Black has a background in sales/marketing and has received a BS in Marketing from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. She is a native of Williamson County and married with two children.
Judy Sumislawski
Judy Sumislawski is VP of Health Initiatives for the YMCA of Middle Tennessee where she has been employed for 10 years. She and her husband Joe have two children Josh and Kate and reside in Brentwood TN. We are members of Holy Family Church.
Laura Thrower - Laura Thrower is the Education Coordinator at Insurors of TN. Laura also has experience in sales, marketing, event planning, and fundraising. She previously worked for Dr. Wallace McGrew and Vanderbilt University Medical Center as well as Embassy Suites Vanderbilt and Youth About Business. She lives in Nashville with her husband and two cats.
